I Want to Buy My Own Books
- Tell us if you are placing an order for your own books. We want to earn money on the books we sell for you, not on the books you buy for yourself (or to sell in person). You will receive 100% of the cash in on the books you purchase for yourself, but you need to tell us in advance that you are buying them so we know and can credit you properly.
- Buy one first. If you find anything you don't like with the printing, we can fix it right away. Our printers will not refund the money once paper has been used, so buy one first to check.
- Reduce the price to save yourself money. If the minimum price is $5, but you buy the book for $10, you get $3 back and Amazon keeps $2. If we reduce the price to $5 first, then you can buy your book at cost. The downside is anyone else who buys the book while the price is low is also buying at cost and you don't earn money from those sales. Tell us your plan and we can reduce the price for you and raise it once your order goes through. This makes the most sense when you are buying in bulk, but we can do it for single book orders as well.
- Shipping matters. Amazon is often the best way to go, unless you live in New Zealand. Amazon Prime has a monthly cost, but offers free shipping. Shipping is billed by weight and volume and dimensions. Depending on the size of your book, shipping on 10 copies may be twice as expensive as shipping on 1 copy. This means it can be cheaper for you to buy paperbacks to sell to your friends rather than your friends buying online themselves. If the shipping costs more than your book, please let us know before placing the order because we may be able to so something to help, like finding a printer closer to your location.
