Arti Rai was born in Allahabad, India and is an educator by profession. She currently resides with her family in Jaipur, the Pink City of India.
She won the Six Word Story Award at the Jee Literature Festival in Jaipur in 2016. Her first novel, The Aravalli Princess, is coming out in 2020. Her poems have been featured in The Times of India,” Jaipur edition. She has contributed her poems on various subjects in international and national poetry anthologies such as Feeling International and English Poetry in India. Her love poem, “To Your Poems," was chosen for a Valentine's Day Special Edition by International Poetry Press in 2017. Her first book of poetry, Flares of Love, has been selected for the Summer Collection Reading of poems by the Reed Library Foundation, Poet House, New York.
Arti is an enthusiastic reader of her poems at various poetry forums both in Jaipur and out. She takes part in poetry seminars throughout the contemporary poetry world.
